600th TCDB Transaction Giveaway and Recap

Four weeks ago I  announced a 600-card giveaway to celebrate my 600th blog post (which I have not yet reached) and my 600th completed transaction on Trading Card Database, which I achieved last week.

When I offered a free entry into the 300-card giveaway for any trade partner, the offers immediately poured in. I completed 22 trades in the last three weeks, and added all of these cards to my collection:

Now, to give this wheel a spin...

Congratulations to ckevink!!! If you're reading this, please send me a message on TCDB (I'm hockeydude) with your address and I'll get a box of 300 cards out to you ASAP.

I'll be hosting another random drawing at the conclusion of my All-Time Teams series, so keep reading and commenting for more chances to win.

Thanks for reading, and trading! Have a great weekend!

  4. Congrats on 600! Maybe one of these days I'll look a little harder into trading on TCDB...seems like it'll be an eternity before I get my own collection catalogued over there, though.

  5. Life is a little crazy right now... but I just inherited a bunch of early 90's basketball that includes 1989-90 and 1990-91 Fleer. I was going to just bring them into my classroom, but before I do... I'll check your lists.

I noticed some Bowman CHL cards in your TCDB trades. Are you building those sets too? I opened a bunch a few years ago. If you email me your wants, I can try and help you with those sets too.

  6. What inspired you to start collecting the '89-90 Fleer set?

    1. I like the design, and it was challenging but affordable. '88-89 Fleer was the first basketball set I ever saw. The next year I remember seeing a ton of Hoops but no Fleer.

I'm collecting 1990-91 Fleer mostly to fill a binder/continue the run, and to have an easy set build I can accumulate through TCDB trades/online dime box.
